| This is a sculpture called
Slice of Reality by Richard Wilson. This seemed like a life-sized diagram
that you might find in a text book about boats; I thought it would be a
good place to hear dockers talk about the intricacies of loading and unloading
cargo. Listening to dockers voices, the sculpture becomes another kind of
memorial to a way of life that has disappeared here in London. |
